The first day of school is almost here! 🎉 Please save these important dates as we prepare for an exciting 2026–2027 school year at Mattie Washburn Elementary.🧸 TK/K Screening
📅 August 3rd & 4th🕘 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Families registered for TK or Kindergarten have received additional information regarding their scheduled screening time
** Please note that Kinder screening is only for NEW students, screening is not required if your student attended TK at Mattie Washburn.
🌟 TK Orientation
📅 Tuesday, August 11th🕕 6:00–7:00 PM
Parents are invited to join us for an evening of information, introductions, and helpful tips to prepare for a wonderful school year.
** This is a PARENT ONLY event**
🏫 Open Campus
📅 Wednesday, August 12th🕓 4:00–6:00 PM
Bring your student to:
- 📍 Find their classroom
- 👩🏫 See their teacher's photo posted on the classroom door
- 🚶 Walk around campus and become familiar with the school before the first day
🚶 Morning Drop-Off Information
📅 August 13th, 14th & 17thDuring the first three days of school, families are welcome to walk their student to their classroom line-up area.
➡️ Beginning Tuesday, August 18th, our campus will return as a closed campus. Students should be dropped off using our regular drop-off procedures.
TK families will continue to pick up their student(s) directly from the TK classroom door.
